SAWATEC AG is a leading Swiss high-tech company founded in 1996. It was created by merging the two companies Sawatzki Engineering and Bruno Sawatzki Konstruktion.

The two founders of the company, Harry and Bruno Sawatzki, merged their profound technical expertise and long-standing experience in order to realise their semiconductor and MEMS products together with SAWATEC AG and put them on the market. This successful co-operation produced numerous patents, which emphasises our great innovative power.

Coating quality through perfect interaction of various parameters
To ensure that a high level of process reliability can be reached, the interaction of our products with the defined process parameters, the selected substrate and the photoresist must be perfectly co-ordinated.

Furthermore, the process environment exerts a great influence on the process quality, therefore the ambient temperature, the exhaust and supply air (laminar flow) and all technical Connections (N2, compressed air…) must be designed optimally.

    Formation of SAWATEC AG. The first successful product was a spin coater combined with a hotplate.

    Expansion of the product range with dosing pumps and dosing valves for data storage systems.

  • 2000

    Entry to the CD industry with specially developed dosing systems, buffer tanks and precision pumps with very low flow rates.

  • 2001

    Development and market launch of a spray coater for the semiconductor and 3D sensor technology of cell phones. The market leader for optical solutions has been successfully using SAWATEC spray coaters in series production for many years.

  • 2006

    Development and market launch of spray developers for the semiconductor industry.

  • 2007

    Development of a first cluster system of the type SCS-4.

    Development of the first SAWATEC bench mounted modules for integration into wet benches or other systems.

    Relocation to Switzerland, the current company headquarters.

    Establishment of the first overseas branch in China. By this way SAWATEC likes to easier access the growth potential of Greater China and strengthen the regional customer closeness.

    The first cluster system of the type CS-200-4 sirius has been delivered to a Chinese institute.

    Market launch of a flexible system equipped with a 6-axis ROBO module.

    With the delivery of a HP-600, SAWATEC exceeds the number of 1000 installed systems on the market.
